The Programs
The program is delivered in two different formats that are designed to work with students who have varying degrees of familiarity with the English language. Group sizes are kept small in an effort to ensure that each student receives plenty of personal attention and coaching.
Level 1 (for ages 9-11)
This program is designed for students who:
understand and can answer basic questions in a one word answer
have limited vocabulary of common everyday items and actions
have skills in reading, listening and grammar that are at a primary level
have difficulty pronouncing English language sounds and sound patterns
Level 2 (for ages 9-11)
This program is designed for students who:
understand and can answer questions and carry a conversation using 2-3 word phrases or full sentences with errors
can understand simple conversation at a slower than normal speed
can express themselves in simple language but have problems trying to express more complex ideas
have enough vocabulary to make simple statements and ask questions
have difficulty in pronouncing some sounds and sound patterns making meanings unclear
understand and use basic grammar but have a limited ability to use complex constructions
The Instructor
Ms. Gale Arnold, based out of Portland, Oregon in the United States is an educational consultant, a teacher and an experienced ESL instructor with over thirty years of teaching experience. Gale has created, taught and implemented language curriculum for all level learners. Her programs include accelerated learning programs for learning English as a Second Language (ESL). She has also counseled and trained teachers in understanding learning styles and accelerated learning. For ten years, she has spent her summers facilitating SuperCamp in the USA, Hong Kong and Singapore.
