Writing is a priceless tool, a jewel that can show the real quality and luster of the writer. It is a tool that can boost the student's self esteem, enhance the quality of all their work, and most importantly contribute to the quality of their education and life.

Writing helps students:

  • Know themselves.
  • Share their thoughts and feelings with others.
  • Explore and analyze ideas and concepts in the world around them.
  • Improve the quality of schoolwork in most classes.
  • Prepare students for the next step in their life whether it be for entrance tests or schoolwork in high school, college and then work.
 

The Program

Students will be introduced to the writing process, tools and skills that will provide a strong foundation for better writing. They will learn how to organize thoughts, form strong topic/thesis statements, learn the use of reasons, details and facts, how to use transitions, and write strong introductory paragraphs and conclusions.

Students will practice a variety of writing formats – paragraphs, informative papers, summary, persuasive, essay, poetry, short story, opinion and research papers.

Our instructor's teaching methodology utilizes the latest methods in brain research on how students' learn best. Students will be dipping into their imagination and creativity through games and fun activities throughout the writing process.

• Build self confidence

Two program levels:

Level 1 : Ages 8-10
Level 2: Ages 11-13

 

The Instructor

Ms. Gale Arnold, based out of Portland, Oregon in the United States, is an educational consultant, a teacher and an experienced ESL instructor with over thirty years of teaching experience. Gale has created, taught and implemented language curriculum for Middle, Junior, and High School levels as well as for adults. These programs include accelerated learning programs for learning English as a Second Language (ESL). She has also counseled and trained teachers in understanding learning styles and accelerated learning. For ten years, she has spent her summers facilitating SuperCamp in the USA, Hong Kong and Singapore.
