Quantum Learning Network of the United States started SuperCamp 27 years ago and has partnered with Pro-Active Learning Ltd. to bring SuperCamp to Hong Kong since 1992. Over 50,000 students from the United States and over 80 countries have graduated from the program.
A New Approach to Learning
At SuperCamp, the belief is that all students are capable of learning, and people learn in different ways. That’s why they developed Quantum Learning, a proven research-based methodology that combines a range of effective learning theories into a skillfully orchestrated unified whole. Quantum Learning incorporates a wide range of learning styles, the latest on brain research, powerful presentation methods, and an optimal learning environment. It has been tested for over two decades and has been continually updated as new breakthroughs occur. It has been adopted by schools across the U.S. and abroad.
The Curriculum
Learning-to- learn skills can be applied to any subject. Students learn to identify their learning style and then learn strategies that work best for them. The skills will give them confidence and tools for classroom and home success. Academics is only part of the experience. The life skills emphasis is on increasing confidence, self-esteem, and motivation creating direct and lasting results.

Students will apply their new knowledge to the real world by practicing their new skills. Then they will celebrate their accomplishments with family and friends in a graduation ceremony on the last day of the program.

The Programs
Youth Forum (For ages 9-10) Fun, Confidence and Friendship
In our 7 day residential camp, your son or daughter will make friends with students during games, learning, music, and other exciting activities. Our team leaders will provide a safe environment for your child to feel special as his or her confidence grows each day. Students will explore fun ways to make school easier as they become better readers and note-takers, as well as more confident writers. They will be able to better memorize important information, discover their personal learning styles and tap into their own unique abilities.
In addition to academic skills, students will learn basic life skills such as making close friends and getting along better with family members. Team-mates learn how to communicate clearly and trust in each other during fun activities. There is also free time for a choice of various indoor and outdoor activities.
With a solid foundation of academic and life skills, your son or daughter develops confidence, regard for others, respect for following rules, and abilities that help support his or her personal development.
Junior Forum (For ages 10-12, entering P. 5, P. 6 and Form 1) Understand yourself and grow!
This 7 day residential program has been designed for students to learn more about themselves. They will find out who they are, what they’re good at and what group of friends they fit in with. They’ll discover the way they learn best and develop skills for dealing with their academic schedule. ‘Real-life’ activities will help them make responsible choices and win the support, understanding and guidance of teachers and parents. They will discover their talents and strengths and prepare for their transition to secondary school.
Senior Forum (For ages 13-14, entering Form 2 and 3) Master your future!
This 10 day residential program has been tailored for life’s most critical stages. Students will discover their own unique abilities and develop greater confidence as they master strategies for long term success in school and life.
During this program, we offer academic skills to ease school stress, help raise grades and give solid strategies to increase test scores including standardized tests. Courses challenge the students to think at a higher level. Life skills courses show students ways to discover their strengths, pursue goals, solve problems, and resolve conflicts. They'll focus on self-expression, trust in others, and maintaining their individuality and integrity. Students learn creative-thinking skills and ways to develop plans and solutions. Small group discussions provide peer perspectives and interaction on academic and life choices.
Facilitators adapt teaching techniques to the evolving learning styles of secondary students. They provide the students with ample opportunities to immediately use their new skills.
Senior Forum, Leadership Team(For ages 15-17, entering Form 4, 5 and 6) Build your strengths!
The Leadership team is a special team in the Senior Forum program. In this team, students will not only learn the Senior Forum curriculum but will be provided opportunity to develop and enhance their leadership, interpersonal, and self-management skills. They will be challenged students to develop their academic and personal confidence in the areas of:

Goal setting
Personal motivation
Peer counseling and support
Effective Leadership Styles
Every member of the Leadership Team receives more specialized training during the program as they assume higher levels of responsibility. Students get the chance to serve as a role model for other students in their embodiment of the 8 Keys of Excellence. This training provides a strong foundation for future scholastic work and life experience.
Super Staff
SuperCamps are facilitated by U.S. professional educators and teachers flown into Hong Kong. They are experienced and have inate teaching abilities and the talent to truly inspire. They undergo extensive professional training in the SuperCamp learning methods and also go through over 100 hours of on-site training.
Team Leaders are experts at making even the most reluctant student feel at home. As positive role models, their enthusiasm is catching. Most team leaders are pursuing degrees in education or psychology and have peer counseling, leadership, or tutoring experience. In addition, they complete SuperCamp training in communication, team building and team management.
Three U.S. facilitators, six U.S. team leaders and at least six local team leaders will guide the students through the program. There will be a full-time nurse on duty, a site administrator, logistic assistants, PAL management staff, all at the camp site to ensure the smooth running of the camp. Our overall 4:1 student-to-staff ratio means your son or daughter receives the personal attention and appropriate supervision that he or she deserves.
